HALL 06, STAND H008 – From May 7 to 10, the 19th edition of Cibus, the International Food Show, will be staged in Parma, an event of reference for Italian agro-food: the latest news and trends in the world’s most popular taste among tradition and, above all, a lot of innovation . We at Gardini Cioccolato will be present with a personal stand, which will be a fantastic opportunity to get to know our products, including the many innovations we are introducing. We will be in Hall 06, inside the stand H008.
More and more food capital, one of the symbolic places of the good food of the Bel Paese, Parma has entered the Italian Food Valley by right thanks to the high number of typical products protected by quality brands, an extraordinary patrimony of excellences that are a paradise for the palate. And the presence of the international food fair – organized by Fiere di Parma and Federalimentare – that the city has hosted for many years, does nothing but confirm its centrality.
There will be more than a thousand products presented in this year’s edition. About 3,000 exhibitors present, more than 130,000 m2 of exhibition space, and 80,000 professional visitors expected. Food trends will emerge from the exhibition moments but also and above all from the conference ones.
But Cibus 2018 will not only propose new products for the international market, as a large part of the event will be dedicated to the analysis of future production and distribution scenarios. Among the many round tables, conferences, seminars, workshops and talks that enrich the program, Cibus will be the occasion to take stock of the most relevant issues: biotechnology and scientific research in food, innovation and sustainability, prevention of food waste, fake news in food, the promotion abroad of Italian products and the scourge of Italian Sounding. And yet the physical sales point and online sales: how will the store of the future, the frontiers of marketing in stores, the novel food (insects and meat grown), where the packaging goes, the chefs as influencers and much more.
Innovation will be at home above all at Cibus Innovation Corner, a brand new pavilion that will feature the story of the most innovative products, as well as trends and dynamics of innovation in the food and distribution sectors.
Like any self-respecting fair, Cibus also has its “fuorisalone” in the heart of the city. With CIBUS OFF, The Know-How From May 5 to 13, Parma will be transformed into a “living museum” becoming the stage for events and initiatives of all kinds linked to the local realities. A real journey to discover the origins and peculiarities of many specialties of the territory celebrated all over the world, a dialogue that starts from the producers and that goes straight to the palate of consumers.
